Polylith - A software architecture based on LEGO-like blocks

Polylith is a software architecture that applies functional thinking at the system scale. It helps us to build simple, maintainable, testable, and scalable backend systems.

The first version of the Polylith Tool is written in the functional language Clojure. The production code that we will be showing is also in Clojure. However, the concepts in Polylith are applicable to any language or programming paradigm.

Target audience
Software developers and architects.

  • Joakim will give a brief overview of the Polylith architecture (http://polylith.gitbook.io).
  • Furkan will give a code walkthrough of a production Polylith, which is deployed on Amazon Lambda.
  • We’ll probably have time for an extensive Q&A session, so feel free to prepare some tricky questions in advance!

Joakim invented the Polylith architecture. After that he and Furkan has developed the first Polylith system and developed the Leiningen plugin. They have also implemented the framework in several production Polylith systems.
